Who We Are

Philip Bennett, together with Peta Malthouse formed Child Law Partnership in 2001.

Child Law Partnership is an experienced niche family law practice based in Guildford and Basingstoke. We advise on all aspects of the law relating to families and children whether people are married, in a civil partnership or simply living together.  We represent children, parents and family members who are involved in problems concerning Social Services and care proceedings. 

Our lawyers are specialists in the area that they practice and are either members of the Law Society Children Panel or accredited specialists with Resolution which is an association of family lawyers committed to resolving family disputes using a non-confrontational approach.

We offer a wide range of services in education law to include: children who are excluded from schools; children and students seeking admission to schools and universities respectively; all discrimination challenges; special education needs; education negligence; children who are out of school; bullying and any other school related issues not referred to here.

We have a contract with the Legal Services Commission which enables us to provide representation in care and related proceedings on a publicly funded basis.  In respect of private matters our hourly rates are extremely competitive.
