Claire joined us in 2005 and is currently a trainee solicitor with the firm.  She will complete her training in September 2009.

Claire has been working, and actively involved, in the field of child law since 2002.    

Claire has significant experience of working with people with learning difficulties and mental health problems.  She has a keen interest in all law relating to children and in particular education matters and special educational needs.  Her particular areas of expertise are adoption, special guardianship and education.  

Claire is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children and is currently on the Executive Committee.  Claire is sub-editor of the Association of Lawyers for Children Newsletter and contributes, with Philip Bennett, to Seen and Heard, a magazine for Children's Guardians.  

Claire won a bursary from Surrey Law Society in order to undertake part of her training to become a solicitor and CLP were successful in obtaining a training grant for Claire to complete her training contract.
