Kai qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2024 having over 5 years of experience working in Family and Child law.

Kai specialises in Child Law and represents clients both in pre-proceedings and court proceedings. Kai is also experienced in, but not limited to, domestic abuse injunctions, child abductions, private child proceedings, and financial remedy proceedings.

Kai is working towards Children Law accreditation so that he can also represent children in public care proceedings.

Emily

Emily has practised Child Law for in excess of 20 years and specialises in all aspects of care proceedings, emergency protection orders, special guardianship, deprivation of liberty of children, and adoption. Emily has a broad client base and is highly regarded for her work across Surrey, Kent and West Sussex. Emily applies a dedicated and “no nonsense” approach to her clients and her work, whilst also recognising the difficulties many families face and the need for empathy and understanding.

Emily qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and has been an accredited Member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2009. A great number of Emily’s clients are recommended to her by both parents and professionals.

Emily has extensive experience of representing teenagers and older children in the most difficult of circumstances. Emily is an experienced court advocate and has considerable experience of many complex cases to include Non-Accidental Injury where there are concurrent criminal proceedings and Fabricated and Induced Illness cases.
